For me, cooking is everything—it’s who I am. It is all I’ve ever done and all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’ve spent my life obsessed with the craft of creating unforgettable flavors, and Shanks Kitchen is the culmination of that lifelong passion.
My Culinary Journey
My professional path started early. I am proud to be the youngest graduate from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Boulder. From there, I sought out the highest level of precision in the industry, completing a stage at the world-renowned Alinea in Chicago—one of only a handful of three-Michelin-star restaurants in the country.
After sharpening my skills in one of the most intense and innovative kitchens in the world, I returned home to Colorado. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of training with the best in the state, serving as an executive chef at Boulder staples like Stella’s Cucina and Mateo’s.
My Philosophy: Fresh & Local
If there is one "secret" to my cooking, it’s a commitment to the ingredients themselves. I believe in keeping everything fresh and local. By sourcing directly from our community, I ensure that every dish on your table reflects the true season and the best of what Colorado has to offer.
